With 60,000 sheep in Nevada
(but who's counting, you might fall asleep)
it only made sense to bring the
USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals to the 'Silver State' for 2022.
The Sheep
These fine wool Merino sheep are raised by the Borda Family of Minden, Nevada. Normally running in bands of several hundreds, if not thousands, they provide a challenging test to both handler and dog.
The Dogs
Herding dogs have been selected and bred for just that...to herd livestock. There is no greater reward or fulfilling experience, then heading out the field for a days work with their handler.
The Handlers
Traveling from across North America, handlers have been preparing all year to test their skills and their dogs ability in Nevada at the USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals.
